MENC 2010 in Washington DC
NACWPI Performing Groups/Lectures/Clinics

As mentioned in recent journals, NACWPI will hold its 2010 national conference during the summer 2010 MENC conference in Washington D.C. This conference will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 through Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel in Arlington, Virginia (as noted before, Arlington is in metro DC). The days and times for our slots on the conference will be given to us later, but they will be either on consecutive days (as in the past) or on the same day. Below are those selected to perform and present at the 2010 DC conference.   Those selected to perform and present are:

Duo Montagnard (Joseph Murphy & Matthew Slotkin - Mansfield University)
Lieurance Woodwind Quintet (Andrea Banke, Scott Oakes, Frances Shelly, Nicholas Smith, Suzanne Tirk, - Wichita State University)
Angelo Manzo (University of Missouri)
Peter Simpson (University of Kentucky)

The winner of the NACWPI Composition Competition is Nickitas Demos from Georgia State University.
